Shaping Australia's AI Future — the Joint Select Committee on AI

Parliament has set up a Joint Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence to answer 13 questions that add up to "how should Australia handle a technology with such significant risks and opportunities?" The Committee wants to hear from the public by Monday 14 September 2026. A free online panel from AI Safety ANZ and Good Ancestors: understand what the committee is, what it's asking, and what it means for you; hear from a range of voices on their concerns about AI and what they'd want to say to the committee; and optionally get started on your own submission alongside other attendees.
